2 Corinthians 4:7 "But we have this
treasure in
earthen vessels; that the excellence of the
power may
be of God and not of us.
Have you seen the movie, National
Treasure? (The
first one, not the second.) The movie
keeps you on the
edge of your seat as a group of people
search
feverishly to find a treasure that has been
passed
down for centuries. What makes the movie
so
suspenseful is that there is another group
of people
following them and plotting to kill them and
steal the
treasure.
As you know, treasures are of great value,
but they are
not easy to find. Often times, they are
hidden and
buried deeply beneath the surface of the
earth
covered by mounds and mounds of dirt so
that no one
can ever find it. While searching for a
treasure, there
are a few things you must take with you: A
map, so
that you will be able to locate the treasure.
Patience -
Finding treasures is a long, hard process.
Perseverance -You must be willing to
endure, and not
give up looking for the treasure.
Protection - You must
also be aware that you will not be alone.
There will
always be someone seeking and
searching for that
very same treasure to steal it from you.
This all might
sound like a difficult task, but remember,
once the
treasure is found, the contents are
priceless.
